Our History

Kappa Delta Theta also known as “KDT” was founded by 3 Women who had a vision of creating a Plus Size Sorority. They wanted to create a Sisterhood that would promote Body Positivity and Boost Women in their perspective communities' confidence wherein they’d know their self-worth, learn to love themselves no matter what their body looked like, and believe that they didn’t have to be a fashion model shape to be beautiful. Although the journey was not an overnight job, they put their blood, sweat, and tears into KDT to this moment in time, and Herstory was made. We are Kappa Delta Theta on the move Catch the Wave

Our Mission

Our mission is to foster and create every woman in her own likeness with, and without faults. As a Sisterhood, Kappa Delta Theta Sorority, Inc. encourages plus-size women to embrace their inner grace and poise while also boosting one another's self-esteem and that of plus-size teenagers.

Our Purpose

The primary purpose of our Sisterhood is to unite and create a safe space for Women in the Plus Size Community. We are committed to establishing a Sisterhood founded on Love, Loyalty, Honesty, Unity, and Respect that will endure for all time. The secondary purpose is to inspire Plus Size Women to embrace their Kurves, enjoy their distinctive beauty, and cherish who they are as Women. We strive for excellence in ourselves as well as our Community and it is our goal to give Plus Size Women universally the capability to express themselves and the opportunity to experience the Greek Sorority Lifestyle.
